There’s not just one career path for MBAs at BOC. The global organization is designed to be flexible so that high achievers can move across business units, across functions and across geographic boundaries to get a well-rounded business background. At the same time, the company is building a cadre of leadership talent for the future. You certainly get to use the foundation of knowledge you learned in graduate school and every new assignment is a new challenge. I’ve worked in planning, distribution, sales, Australia, and now information management.

As the senior manager for IM in the Americas, my primary role is to be a liaison between local business units and the global IM organization. It’s a matter of leveraging my broad business background and experience to bring together the business and IM. I work with programmers in Australia, the design team in the UK, and our IM and business staff here in the Americas to assure that we have the systems in place to support the business process improvements we need to grow and prosper.
