BOC meant little more to me than just letters when I was applying for jobs at the end of college. I knew little about what the company did or the products it made. And frankly, industrial gases didn’t sound all that exciting. But after speaking to some employees, I realized people really enjoyed BOC’s friendly work environment, and even spent a great deal of time outside of work with their colleagues.

My time here has provided me with a truly great learning experience. The engineering skills development program has improved my skills as a chemical engineer and has helped me develop a broad understanding of many different engineering fields, not just those directly related to the production and supply of industrial gases. For example, my last rotation taught me a great deal about fiber optics and its various applications. But it’s the basic, hands on experience I’ve gained here at BOC, along with my involvement in real projects with real responsibilities and deadlines, that has been so valuable for me.
